Obituary of Walter Woodward

Walter was born on February 16, 1960 in Wilmington, Delaware to Henry and Bessie Peebles. He passed away on October 16, 2020 in Philadelphia, PA. Walter received his early education in the Wilmington Public Schools. He would continue his education at University of Pittsburgh receiving his BA degree and then his Master of Arts in teaching. He would go on to teach in the Philadelphia School District for 31 years. Walter took great pride in teaching his students and in seeing them succeed in life. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a huge Philadelphia sports fan. He was preceded in death by his Mother Bessie Peebles and Father Henry Peebles, sister Darlene Bell, and two brothers Everett and Andrew Peebles. He leaves one sister Sherry Brown and one brother Jerome Deloatch (wife Cynthia) and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends to cherish his memories. No repast will be held at this time secondary to COVID-19 restrictions.
