William (Bill) Jefferson White, Jr, age 93, of Wilmington, entered his eternal rest on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, Newark, DE. He was born April 27, 1921 in Wilmington to the late, William Jefferson White, Sr and Myrtle Hodge White. Bill served in the United States Army in the European Theater during World War II as a medic. He received an honorable discharge after serving four years. He was self-employed as an Interior Decorator. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Evangelist Lucille Treadway White, sisters, Sarah Goffigon, Bishop Josephine Jones, BettyJane Fountain; brothers, Overture, Felix and Elder Pezavia White, Sr. Surviving Bill are his sisters, June White Ward, Gloria White Nichols , brother, Bishop James O. White, Sr. (Ernestine) sister-in-law, Mary E. White, loving caregivers, Sedrick and Eunice Fountain, seven nieces, nine nephews, a host of grand nieces & nephews, great grand nieces & nephews and many other family members and friends. Celebration of Life will be held at Monday, February 16, 2015 at 11:00am at Bethel Pentecostal Church, 2300 N. Pine St. Viewing, 10:00am. Interment at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Bethel Pentecostal Church-Building Fund, P. O. Box 124, Wilmington, DE 19899.
