William beloved husband and father was born in Wilmington, DE on December 29, 1972, was the son of William Hicks III and Rosemary Dorothea Brown. He was a 1990 Graduate of Glasgow High School. William was employed as a Promotion Tech at RESCAR, Inc. Prior to this, he was employed at General Motors Corp. for 8 years. William was an active member of First United Pentecostal Church and sang in the choir. William enjoyed singing, skating, motorcycle riding and sports. He is survived by his wife, Saroida Ortiz(Hicks); 2 daughters, Shakyra Hicks and Samantha Hicks; a son, William J. Hicks and a stepson, Benjamin Ortiz; his mother Rosemary Dorothea Brown; his father, William Hicks III; 2 brothers, Eric Hicks and Eugene Hicks; mother-in-law, Saroida DeLa Flor; father-in-law, Eduardo DeLa Flor; step-mother, Ericka Hicks; step-father, Donald Brown; step brothers, Antoine Terry and Andrew Hicks; 2 sister-in-laws, Rozlynn and Amanda Hicks. William also leaves to mourn a paternal grandmother, Laura G. McDaniel and paternal Grandfather, William Hicks II; 16 aunts; 11 uncles and a host of great aunts and great uncles; nieces, nephews and cousins.
