Wiiliam Ernest Pierce

William also known as "Sony" was the son of the late Wilbert Pierce and Gertrude Pierce of Seaford, DE. He was a former employee of Delaware Department of transportation, where he retired after 30 years service in 1985. He preceded in death by his late wife Thelma Elizabeth Thomas, his brother Willard and sister Eliza Pierce. His sons, Wayne and Michael Pierce, grandson Dennis Stanley; his grandmother Eliza Cambridge and uncle Spencer Foreman. He leaves to cherish his memories of his daughter Lisa Dillard, a devoted son-in-law Dennis Dillard, his sons, Derrick Willard, Dennis, Marlin and Bruce Pierce of New Castel, DE, his grandchildren, Sunnetta, James, Danny and Leroy Stanley of New Castle, DE and Wayne Thomas of Delaware City, DE, 5 great grandchildren, a niece Linda Pierce Ragin, 2 great nieces, 1 great nephew, a devoted cousin Daphine Brown, relatives and friends.
