Walter Phillips

Walter Phillips was born on September 2, 1934 in Lafayette, AL, to the late Leon and Lizzie Mae Phillips one of eleven children. He passed in comfort on Saturday, January 15, 2022 after a long battle.

Walter was preceded in death by his father Leon Phillips, mother Lizzie Phillips, and numerous brother and sisters. Walter also spent several years serving in the military.

Walter is survived by three sons Walter Phillips, Michael Phillips, Barry Phillips, daughter Natasha Downing, beloved older sister Julia Brown, numerous brother, sisters and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Special thanks to his ex-wife Cleo Phillips for assisting in his care and comfort in his final years.
