Virginia Beatrice Barner

Virginia Beatrice Barner was born on August 23, 1947 to the late Dorothy Wilson and William Lucas. She peacefully departed this life on June 4, 2023 in Parkview nursing home.

Lovingly known as Jenny she received her education in the public school systems of Wilmington. She worked for many years at the Masonic home of Delaware before retiring in 2015.

Jenny was filled with the joy and presence of the lord which you see throughout her daily life. She always had a beautiful smile and a kind word for everyone that she met.

She enjoyed gospel music, long conversations over coffee, a good meal, going on rides, shopping, reading, and watching movies The Lord of the Rings being one of her favorites.

Jenny was preceded in death by one son, George Aaron Richardson and two brothers Kinyimi Ali (Lamont Lucas) and Oba Bey.

Loving memories of Virginia will live on in the hearts of her son Travis (Dee) Richardson; 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of siblings, family and friends.
