Vincent M. Joquin

June 13, 1938 — October 7, 2022

Vincent M. Joquin was born on June 13, 1938 in Pembroke Parish, Bermuda to the late Lillian Joquin Bowen and Leroy Lewis. He went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 7, 2022 where he was a resident of Gilpin Hall.

Vincent was a man of many professional skills, talents and abilities. He learned the trades of bricklaying, carpentry, furniture making, painting, cabinetry and others from trade school as well as from his stepfather, Archibald Bowen. Vincent made use of his many skills when he assisted in building the largest hotel in Bermuda - the South Hamilton Princess. He also worked with Mr. Bowen renovating both residential and commercial properties.

Vincent came to Wilmington, Delaware in 1970 during which time he met his wife, Linda Joquin. They were married on February 17, 1973 after meeting at an apartment complex where he was restoring apartments. He began his own business - Joquin Home Repairs. Vincent loved his work. His clients said he was like an artist because he could take down a banister, strip it, refinish it and place it so professionally. He also enjoyed traveling back to Bermuda to visit his family, spending hours sailing on his boat, fishing and riding the chopper he built and his Harley Davidson.

Vincent was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Bowen, stepfather, Archibald Bowen, grandson, Christian Belboda, four sisters Cynthia Joquin, Diane Tucker, Sharon Bowen-Darrell and Mabaline Bowen-Black; and two brothers Marco Brown and Patrick Bowen.
