was born in Pennsylvania to the late William H Johnson and Elva Jordan Johnson on March 31, 1938. She passed peacefully in her home and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Vera was married to her loving, devoted husband, Arthur J Wright on June 28, 1963. Vera was employed by the Delaware Home and Hospital for the Chronically Ill until her health failed. She also worked at Leeds Travelware, Delaware State College and as a Head Start Teacher. Vera was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church Smyrna, DE where she served as a member of the Senior & Gospel Choirs, Stewardess, Missionary, Pastor Aide, Sunday School Teacher, Director of YPD and Conference YPD President. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Trudy Wright, her sisters, Sharon Johnson and Vikki Evans and her brother Willie Johnson. Vera is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Arthur; daughter, Tracy Williams & son-in-law, Michael of Landsdowne PA; son, Aren Wright & future daughter-in-law, Margaret Martinez of Dover; two sisters, Mala Johnson & Maria Williams of Dover; brother, Robert Johnson of Smyrna; one granddaughter, Brielle Williams, and four grandsons, Michael Williams-Cottman, Jeremiah Williams, Austin & Kyle Wright and two great-granddaughters, Kalei McPherson & Semara Williams-Cotttman.
