Trustee Alfred A. Nelson

Alfred A. Nelson, III, affectionately known as "Plute", transitioned to his eternal home on Friday, November 26, 2010 in the Veterans Hospital in Wilmington, DE. Mr. Nelson was born in Henderson, N.C. on August 17, 1948 to the late Alfred A. Nelson, Jr. and Christeen Nelson. The family moved to Wilmington, DE in 1954. He was a 1966 graduate of Howard High School and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Goldey Beacom College. He joined the United States Marine Corp in 1966. He served his country from 1966 through 1969, receiving an honorable discharge after his tour in Viet Nam. He was employed by the DuPont Company as an electrician and retired in 1994. He is survived by his loving wife, Delores Nelson of Pennsville, NJ; his children, Remona, Alfred IV, Maurice, and Ashley Nelson of Wilmington, DE, Chris Davis of NewCastle, De, and Leonette "Peebles" Traylor Wilmington, DE, step-mother, Mary Nelson of Wilmington, DE and his sister, Tammy Williams of NewCastle, DE.
