Tiburcio Acevdo Torres

Tiburcio Acevedo Torres, Sr., age 79, of Wilmington, DE, passed from this world on Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Wilmington Hospital. Tiburcio, who was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on August 17, 1927, came to the United States in 1944 at age 17. In 1951, he met Miriam Armbrister-Shaw. They married on April 5, 1952. He worked at the Newark Chrysler plant for 30 years and retired from there in 1984. Tiburdo was predeceased by both of his parents and his daughter, Genara. He is survived by his loving wife, Miriam; 4 sons, Carlos, Victor, Sr., Jose, and Tiburcio, Jr., of Wilmington, Delaware; 10 grandchildren, Sonya Harris, Fagan, Victor, Jr., Arthur, Tibucio, III., Ivan, Darrell, Andrea, Virginia , and Tia , all of Wilmington, Delaware; 9 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. He also had a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
