Thomas F. Lindsay

Thomas Lindsay, also known as “Timmy,” was born on October 28, 1955, to the late Rose Lee McClean and Walter Lindsay. He passed on April 4th, 2023, in Christiana Hospice Care.

Timmy received his early childhood education at Sussex Avenue School and Barringer High School in Newark, New Jersey. In 1973 he met his life partner Karen Jones and married her in 1986. They later had two daughters Charmaine and Jeanine. He worked as a construction worker in New Jersey. In 2003 they relocated to Delaware where he worked as a laborer.

Timmy loved to cook and grill. He loved to be around his family and friends. He loved his grandchildren and spoiled them to death. He loved sports.  His favorite sports were wrestling and football. If you knew Timmy, you knew he was a diehard Giants fan. Timmy also liked to play football and DJ in his spare time.

Timmy was predeceased by his mother Rose Lee Jackson, two sisters Barbara Jean Garland and Betty Lindsay, and three brothers Eugene McClean, Walter Lindsay and Ronald Lindsay.

Timmy is survived by his wife Karen Lindsay, two daughters Charmaine Edwards (James Edwards), Jeanine Lindsay (Sheni Akande), four grandchildren Tyson Lindsay, Jordin Ellington, Brianna Edwards, and Zarah Akande, two brothers Woody Downer and Mark Lindsay, two sisters Hattie Sparrow and Deborah Lindsay, and a host of nieces and nephews.
