Sylvester T. "Beezy" Harvey, Sr.

Mr. Sylvester Tyrone Harvey, Sr. the 14th child born to the late Ira and Mary Emma Harvey was born September 22, 1939 in Belvedere, DE. Sylvester was affectionately known as "Beezy" to family and close friends. Sylvester attended the Wilmington Public School System. His early work life included Havac, General Motors, and Harvey & Knotts Bus Company. After 25 plus years of service, Sylvester retired as a bus driver from DART. In his spare time, Sylvester enjoyed casino excursions, bowling, watching cable news, and Sudoku. Sylvester was married to Kathryn Baynard in which the union brought forth Pamela Harvey; Sylvester T. (Kimberly L.) Harvey, Jr; and Kimberly E. (Charles) Jones. Sylvester is also the father of Penny Bonds (Dennis) Pelzer, Janece Bobilin, and Natasha (Rashad) Brown. Mr. Harvey later married Christine Lolly-Harvey and became the bonus dad to Lawren Lolly. In November 2012, Sylvester married the late MaryAnn Jones-Harvey and became the bonus dad to Charles (Kimberly E.) Jones, Robin Jones, and Kim (Anthony) Moody. Sylvester is predeceased by his parents, wife MaryAnn Jones-Harvey, and siblings Natalie, Vera, Lamotte, Earl, Ira Jr., Louis, Dorothy, Bernard, Willard, Herbert, Geraldine, Betty, and Harriet. His passing is lovingly mourned by his children; Penny, Pam, Sylvester (Ty) Jr., Kimberly E., Janece, and Natasha. Cherished memories forever present with his baby sister Ann Collins. A legacy that will live on in his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
