Steven C. Eatmon (aka Uncle Steve), age 43, departed his life on August 19, 2019. He was born on August 27, 1975, in Cleveland, Mississippi to Herbert and Jo Ann Badson-Eatmon. Steven received his early childhood education from Sharon Temple Academy. He graduated from Newark High School. He did one year of College at Delaware Technical Community College. After school he had a list of jobs such as driving school buses, doing construction, and driving tracker trailers. He graduated from the Culinary Arts Program at the Food Bank of Delaware on February 2, 2017 and became a Certified Chef. Steven loved to cook which became a passion of his during his time as a boy scout in his early years. He also received a Certification of Completion on May 4, 2018 through the State of Delaware as a Spring 2018 Certified Peer Recovery Specialist. Steven was a jack of all trades and would give his life for his friends and family. You know what I mean! Steven had a heart of pure gold, and an uncanny ability to make friends wherever he would go. Steven treated everyone the same whether you were a homeless person or a business owner, that is why he was loved so much by everyone that he encountered. Steven was known for his passionate personality and his ability to learn and master anything. He was a lifelong scholar. Steven loved to engage in debate over politics, religion, and cooking recipes. He particularly enjoyed studying religion and was knowledgeable about both the Holy Bible and the Quran. Steven was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Eatmon, and his beloved grandmother Lucille Eatmon as well as both grandparents on his mother's side. Steven is survived by his wife Dongerette Cooper-Eatmon(Kytten), children Keynan Cooper, Amire Eatmon, Ja'Chai Cooper and Deron Williams; his mother, Jo Ann Badson Eatmon; his two brothers, David Ray and Tracy Badson; one sister, Kimmerly Chambers; three god children, Paris Austin, Taja Farley, and Zenia Colon (princess); a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
