Stephen James Michael Kowalski

On Monday July 24, 2023, our beloved Stephen James Michael Kowalski, better known as “Steve Drive,” departed this life. He was born on December 29, 1995, in Newark, DE to Brandi Hite and the late Stephen (Big Steve) Kowalski.

In June 2013 he graduated from Glasgow High School where he excelled in Varsity football as a quarterback, running back, and defensive lineman. He worked at Amazon, Lawn Care with his cousin Joey, and Simms Associates. Stephen was a die-hard Eagles FAN and enjoyed watching and going to games with his dad. He loved fishing, crabbing, and just being outside. He loved going to the beach during the summers with his grandmom Cindy and still enjoyed it after she passed. He loved to play the tables at the casino. He was loved by his family and friends and anyone who he came across this big teddy bear, He will always be remembered by his big hugs, huge smiles, and his laughter.

Stephen loved spending quality time with his family and friends and loved to eat (lol). Most of all he loved spending time with his 2 kids (son- Jule Stephen Michael Kowalski and daughter- Jaila Sienna Marie Kowalski) who he is survived by and their mother Jaunice Pryer. They loved their dad!!

Stephen was preceded in death on his paternal side by his grandparents Cynthia Harding, Vincent Harding, and Stephen Kowalski. His maternal side great-grandparents Ruby Weeks, William Akers, and Richard Burruss. Also, his best friends Taron Hester, Norvell (Benji) Queen, and Qasim (Seem) Felder.

Stephen is survived on his maternal side by his grandparents (Sheila Burruss, Walter Burruss, and Michael Hite), great-grandparents (Freda Hariston, and Ed Hariston), aunts (Christina Weeks and Dona Dunn), and cousins (Donae Dunn, Darae Dunn, DivineTreasure Brown, SirReal Dunn, and Devyne (LuLu) Adams). Also, BrieAnna Tyler who is his cousin that he called his best friend and sister. His paternal side by his sister Samantha Kowalski, stepmother Jennifer Fletcher-Kowalski, aunts (Dawn Custis and Stephanie Kowalski, and cousins (Destiny Kowalski, Devon Custis, Trey Custis, Jasmine Ross, and Jase Ross). Also, his best friends (Sabri (Breeze) Thompson, Billy Watson, and Kory Powell). With a host of other Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

He will always be remembered and loved until we meet again!
