Shelia Renee Chambers

December 25, 1962 — June 1, 2023

 Sheila “Reneè” Chambers was born on Tuesday December 25th, 1962 in Wilmington, Delaware. She passed away peacefully on Thursday June 1st, 2023 in Accent Hospice Care in Wilmington Delaware surrounded by her family.


Reneè attended William Penn High School where she graduated with her diploma and from there she went on to attend Charleston Job Corp Center in Charleston, West Virginia where she also graduated and received her diploma. Reneè went on in life to work in retail and sales for 15 years until her battle with renal failure.


Reneè spent most of her time loving on her 2 grandchildren and being a cat mom. You could always catch her reading a good book as she was an avid reader. Reneè also loved to write and knit and collect photos of loved ones. Becoming a grandmother was her all time favorite accomplishment. She enjoyed singing and dancing especially to the song “Oh Sheila” by Ready for The World with her daughter every chance she got. She would also enjoy going out to eat with her son William as well as sharing tiktoks, they also would often go out on movie dates together as their mother-son time. Reneè also enjoyed and took pride in spending the holidays surrounded by family with her favorite holidays being Thanksgiving as she loved to eat, eat, eat and Christmas as it was also her birthday she could always look forward to double gifts.


Reneè was preceded in death by her grandmother, Susanna Johnson; grandfather, Arthur Johnson; father, Meredith “Mert” Chambers; & stepfather William “Bill” Miles.


Reneè is survived by her daughter, Sheneè Chambers; son, William (Ayanna) Chambers; mother, Shelia “Darlene” Miles; brother, Steve Powell; step brother, Shawn Murray; grandson, Cameron Chambers; granddaughter, Caidyn Chambers; a special devoted friend Daryl Harris and a host of other relatives.
