Sharonda T. "Doll" Hamlin

On Sunday, August 4, 2019, after a short battle with Cancer, surrounded by her friends and family, in her mother's home, God in His infinite wisdom gave Sharonda Tanise Hamlin her wings. Sharonda was born on April 16, 1984 to Richard M. King and Christine S. Blackledge. She was such a beautiful baby she was bestowed the name Doll. Doll was preceded in death by her Paternal Grandmother, Thelma King; her Maternal Grandfather, Jesse W. Hamlin, Jr.; two cousins, Cameron Hamlin & Jermaine Kelson. Sharonda was a 2002 Graduate of Howard High School of Technology. She went on to Dawn Nursing School earning her Certified Nursing Associate. Upon graduating Doll pursued her career at Kentmere Nursing Home and then to Gilpin Hall until her health failed. Doll loved shopping of all kinds, you name it she shopped for it and was thee best bargain finder of all. She would start early to achieve the best selections with her mother and daughter in tow. She also enjoyed baking & making cupcake specialties for her family and friends. The morsels or liquid inside those cupcakes would be in the most intriguing of a delectable gourmet. Doll had a quiet demeanor and she allowed her facial expressions to speak volumes for her. When she smiled that beautiful smile it could warm your heart. She will be remembered as a caring & loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, god mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin & friend to all who knew her. She leaves to cherish her wonderful and adoring memories: her only child; Adaja S. Ernestine Jackson, 8 nephews; Shaheim, Sha'kie, Jah'lier, Shahir, Amarii, Aaron, Malik & Makye, 7 nieces; Raniyah, Khyra, Atiyana, Saaliyah, Tyra, Taniyah & Erin, 1 god son; Amin Miller, Jr., Sisters in Love; Zaynah Evans, Shavon Benson, Jasmine Hamlin & Maria Sudler, 2 devoted friends; Brittany Mays & Daria Williams, aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends all to remember their "Doll Baby".
