Samuel Edward McCants was born to the Late Joseph McCants and Martha Hannah in Johnsville, S.C. He was preceded in death by 3 children Clyde Benjamin, Sr., Tommie Lee McCants and Alexander (Bey) McCants; as well as 1 sister and 3 brothers. He retired from the DuPont Company after 38 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife of 63 years, Addie L. McCants; three daughters Irene Wilson, Alvilta McKnight and Sandra McCants; four sons Buster Hannah, Samuel J. McCants, James H. McCants, and Jerome L. McCants; 1 son-in-law- Dea. Johnnie B. Wilson; three daughter-in-laws, Valerie B. McCants, Kathy T. McCants and Brenda McCants; 40 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.
