Monie's professional life was a testament to her dedication and compassion, as she excelled in her role as the number one Donor Scheduler at the Blood Bank of Delmarva, following a successful tenure as a Specialty Account Manager at Barclays Bank. Beyond her professional achievements, Monie's personal interests painted a picture of a woman who cherished the simple joys of life. She found serenity in walks on the beach, solace in reading the Bible, and joy in family vacations that created memories to last a lifetime. Monie's love for singing was a delightful treat for those fortunate enough to hear her soulful voice, a voice that resonated with the gentle strength of her character. 

Family was the cornerstone of Monie's world. She was the cherished daughter of the late Vera Lee Parker and James Parker, and the beloved sister to Velder, Aretha, and Sheronda. 

The love story between Monie and her spouse, Lacey Weddington, was one for the ages, a partnership that blossomed into a beautiful family with their three children, Dazhanae, Kayla, and Elijah.
