Mrs. Ruth M. Sanders Hickey-Wiggins was born in Montgomery, Alabama, to the late Marshall and Sanders.
She was the 3rd child of 7 sisters.
The family later moved to Westfield, Alabama, where Ruth met and married Willie Hickey (Deceased). To this union, they were blessed with 7 children.
Later in her life, she married William (Pete) Wiggins and welcomed 3 children whom she loved dearly as her own.
Ruth always Loved the Lord and loved to listen to Televangelist Jimmy Swaggart. Her favorite hymn was "Amazing Grace".
She Re-Dedicated her life and was Baptized under Pastor James Johnson at Freedom Baptist Missionary Church, in Baltimore, Maryland.
To all that knew Ruth, she was a loving, giving, caring, outspoken and rambunctious mother with an infectious sense of humor. She loved scratch-off tickets, bingo, oldies music, and dancing.
Ruth leaves to cherish her memory a devoted loving and caring husband of 47 years of marriage William (Pete) Wiggins of Wilmington, De; 11 Children Larry Hickey, Willie Hickey Jr, Shirley (Cornell) Meades, Michael Hickey (Deceased) of Wilmington, De, Deborah (Douglas) Hinds of Hackensack, New Jersey, Magdalena (Edward) Dawson of Baltimore, Md, Vincent (Lynn) Hickey, Marcial Wiggins, Terry Wiggins, Tony Wiggins and Kevin Hickey of Wilmington, De.
Ruth was preceded in death by 4 grandchildren Shakwi Shivers, Shannon Stockton, Deon Wiggins, and Robert Wingfield. 4 Sisters; Rosa Z. Thomas, Lea S. Tucker, Vernell Thomas, Helen Hill.
She's mourned by 2 Sisters Fannie B. Colston of Boston, Ma and Paulette Lillie of Hueytown, Al, a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
