age 84, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2014 at Gilpin Hall. He was born on May 16, 1929 in Norfolk, VA, son of the late Daniel Wright and Margie Ann (Hunter) Perkins. Mr. Perkins worked at the Chrysler Assembly Plant in Newark, DE for 32 years. He loved music, reading, travel, attending the theater, poetry, and horse racing. He was proud to have been an original member of the Delaware Jazz Appreciation Society. Mr. Perkins was preceded in death by his wife Isabella (Pullman) Perkins, son Broderick Perkins, and five siblings. He leaves to cherish his memories, daughters Roberta and Yvonne, sons Clinton and Randy, brothers Dennis, Vincent, and Gary Riley, and sisters Ruth Grimes and Hattie "Zudie" Perkins, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family wishes to thank the staff of Gilpin Hall and Compassionate Care Hospice for their excellent care.
