Robert B. Johnson (Rob) as he was affectionately known was born on December 8, 1946 in Wilmington, DE to the late Ruth Anne Hayes - Johnson and Norman Johnson Sr. He departed this life on Friday, September 13, 2019 surrounded by his family. Robert (Rob) was given the nickname of (Bunkie) by his father a name that he would carry into his teens. Rob, obtained his education from George Gray Elementary School, Bancroft Middle School and graduated from Wilmington High School. As a child, Rob was an active member of Mount Zion Baptist Church under the ministry of Reverend Walder, where he often attended with his family. Rob, worked in various positions supervising in both janitorial and security. A break in (Rob) career came when his mother became ill and he stepped down to care for her. Rob, had many talents: he played pool, basketball, tennis, cycling, running, swimming and sitting down to a good hand of cards. Rob, was an extreme shopper he loved men's attire, suits, hats, shoes, accessories and was often seen shopping or hopping on a bus to the mall... Rob, loved old school music, good food and good fun and would quietly sit down to gospel on Sundays. Rob, was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Anne Hayes-Johnson and his father Norman Johnson Sr., a wife Dora Everett, a sister Alice Hunter, a brother Henry (Hank) Johnson and a close niece Linda Hunter Everett. Rob is survived by his fianc Beverly Roy, a brother Norman Johnson Jr. (Patricia), a son Emmanuel Johnson , (4) nieces, (5) nephews a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends as well as his Herlihy Apartment (Family and Friends).
