Richard Fayson, Jr., son of the late Tempie and Richard Fayson, Sr, was born August 7, 1932 in Rocky Ford, GA. He peacefully departed this life on Sunday, November 3, 2019 in St. Francis Hospital. Richard received his early childhood education in Rocky Ford, GA., later moving to Delaware where he attended School number 29. He became employed by Woodlawn trustees along with his father. After becoming a long distance truck driver, he drove for several companies. Richard then established employment with Chrysler for many years until retirement. In 1949, he met and was later united in holy matrimony to Ola Mae Morgan. He and Ola enjoyed traveling the world and just spending quality time together. Richard was a family man instilling the importance of staying connected with family and unconditionally loving one another. His joy was in planning and coordinating yearly family reunions and family trips visiting relatives. He never missed a year taking his parents to Georgia for the annual church anniversary at St. Matthews Baptist Church, built and pastored by his grandfather. Richard was a walking road map and could give directions to anywhere in the world! Richard was preceded in death by siblings; Beulah McCracklin, Jay Fayson, R.C.Fayson, Willie Jay Fayson, Johnny Fayson, Fannie Mae Fayson and Kate Weaver. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 70 years, Ola Mae Fayson; children, Richard Fayson III, Stanley Fayson, Era Mae Fayson;siblings, Lula Mae Robinson, Twin City, Ga, Pandora Fisher, Wilmington, De; grandchildren,Katherine Evans (Ricky), Stanley Fayson, Jr, Stanley Blue, Denise Fayson, Crystal Fayson, Desiree Cade, Syreeta Grasty (Herman), Richard Fayson IV, Donial Fayson (Darius), Nicole English, Tykesha English, Jonathan White, Faith Fayson, Elijah Fayson; 31 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren deceased;a devoted cousin, Daisy Lilly Reason,a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
