Rebecca Louise Powell was born on May 18, 1939 to the late
Louise Woodard. On May 15, 2020, Rebecca peacefully
departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest while at
St. Francis hospital in Wilmington, DE.
Rebecca was born in Tampa, FL but was raised in Salisbury,
MD where she received her education in the public school
system. She worked in Wilmington, DE in food service as a
dietary cook at Gilpin Hall for 25 years and Foulk Manor North
until retirement.
Rebecca loved her Heavenly Father and was a member at
Victory Church. She was very artistic and enjoyed painting
ceramics, knitting and crotcheting. She also enjoyed listening
to music and had a large record collection. Rebecca loved
to cook and travel. She is remembered to have had a fun
sense of humor, nice smile, kind heart, and an overall great
personality. She was also a very driven person and could
express herself through great articulation.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her mother Louise
Woodard, uncle Irvin Powell, aunts Beulah White and Eleanor
Powell, cousin Koran White, and lifelong companion Frank
Mason.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her son Shawn Mason
(Lakisha Fisher), cousins Harry White, Debbie White, Jerome
White, Carolyn White, Antonio White, April Gattis, along with
other Family and Friends.
