Priscilla Claudette Clark

Priscilla C. Clark was born April 17, 1943 at Brooklyn Hospital, to the late Reuben C. Clark and Mary L. Clark. Priscilla was the oldest of 6 children. Rosalind, Roger, and Douglas precede her in death. Priscilla received her education in the New York City school system, and upon completion of her education, she was briefly employed with the U.S. Post Office. On August 3, 1970, she was employed with the New York City Department of Transportation (Traffic Division). During her employment with DOT, she was upgraded to Lieutenant and then to Captain. In September 1996, the Traffic Division merged with the New York City Police Department. After 32 years of employment, Priscilla retired as a Captain Traffic Enforcement Agent. May 22, 1994, Priscilla joined the Antioch Baptist Church, being baptized under the leadership of Dr. Phillip E. Elliott. During her membership, she served on the Senior Usher Board, becoming an instructor with the School of Ushering of Brooklyn and Long Island, and earning a Bachelor Degree. She also served on the Pastor's Aide Committee In 2005 she relocated to Delaware and joined Bethel AME Church under the leadership of Dr. Silvester S. Beaman and she joined the Senior Usher Board of ICUA of Delaware. Priscilla served her community through volunteering at Wilmington Hospital as a greeter, and as a school bus driver for the local school district. On Thursday, June 20, 2017, after a short illness, Priscilla transitioned from this life and stands before Jesus, her Maker, completely healed. Priscilla leaves behind her son, Preston C. Dickens (Michelle); a granddaughter, April Ladaysha; a brother, Vincent Clark; sister Sheila; surviving sister-in-laws, Darlene and Diane Clark, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
