Portia Ruth Denise Owens

Portia Ruth Denise Owens was born on April 12, 1969, in Wilmington, Delaware to the parents of Peggy Anne Taylor and Courtland Walker. She passed on June 27, 2021, at her home in Wilmington, DE.

"Pork Chop", as she was called, received her education at James Grove Adult Education. Employment to her was a full-time wife and grandmother.
Portia loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren, in which she had seven. She also loved dancing crocheting, puzzles, and games. Portia was a big kid at heart.

Portia was proceeded in death by her mother, Peggy Anne Taylor; her father, Courtland Walker; grandmother, Lillie Mae Anderson, and her cousin, Lahatiesha Hill.

Portia is survived by her husband, William Owens; children; Tyaire Taylor, Kenyetta Taylor, Aunjea Daniels; siblings, Marvin Dorsey, Dennis Taylor, Fayette Erskine; grandchildren, Zayviona Taylor, Mahkai Gibson, Robert Spivey, Jr., Tierre Daniels, Keyon Daniels, Zhymire Taylor-Bacon; god-children Curtis Erskine, Ikeam Waterman and a host of other relatives and friends.
