Her Sunrise… Patricia was born October 5, 1945 to the late Delores Chisholm Ford and stepfather Earl Ford in Wilmington, Delaware. Affectionately known as "Patsy," "Pat" and "Nana" to her grandchildren. Patsy was very active and outgoing as a child, talented in softball and basketball while in high school. Patsy attended St. Joseph's and St. Mary's Catholic Schools in Wilmington, Delaware, graduated from De La Warr High School in 1964. She later attended the University of Delaware where she studied accounting. Patricia was united in holy matrimony to Charles Robert Walker (Lil' Charlie) in 1966. Their union was blessed with three children. Patricia was a hard worker spending 49 years with the State of Delaware starting out as a teachers aid and becoming a Rehabilitation Center Director until her retirement. Patsy belonged to the Seventh-Day Adventist religious community. Patricia was a quiet and gentle lady who was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed old and new music, arts and crafts, working on computers; watching Shirley Temple movies, and Star Trek "Treky", and eating chocolate ice cream, Lorna Doon cookies, and her provolone cheese hoagies. Patsy could be found at Battery Park on Saturday afternoons with her boys collecting driftwood, pine cones and other items to incorporate in her arts and craft projects; attending any number of the athletic events shouting from the sidelines "Come On Baby". Her Sunset… March 8, 2019 - peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. She leaves to cherish in her memories her loving husband of 53 years, Charles R Walker; three sons, Orlando L. Walker Sr., (Una), Omar A. Walker Sr., fiancee Dorenda and Ottangue Q. Walker, Sr., fiancee Ana; seven grandchildren Orlando Walker, Jr., Landis Walker, Omar Walker, Jr., Oriana Walker, Madison Langley-Walker, Ottangue Walker Jr., and Isaac Walker; four- step grandchildren, Cheyenne, Lisa, Leslie and Jacqueline; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, innumerable extended family members and many loving friends.
