Ozell Matthew Brown was born on January 13, 1937 in Johnsonville, SC, to John and Odessa Brown. He passed away on Wednesday July 5 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. Ozell received his early childhood education from Vox Elementary in Pamplico, SC and graduated from Gibbs High School in Pamplico, SC. After school he worked at Letco Manufacturers for 5 years; he was also employed and retired from Chrysler Corporation of 41 years. Ozell was a faithful member of St. James Baptist Church in Johnsonville, SC and Mt. Sinani Baptist Church in New Castle, DE. He had many hobbies and interest mainly in quartet gospel music, singing and he loved baseball. Ozell was preceded in death by his wife Aldrather, son Robert, Brothers Samuel and Roscoe Brown.
Ozell is survived by 4 daughters Margaret Mitchell of Hemingway, SC, Delcina Smith (Apostal Lemuel) Trina Evans and Renea Brown; 3 sons LaVern/Butchy Evans (Kim), Gene Brown (Shena), and Michael Brown. He is survived by siblings; John BT Brown, Wilbur Brown, Sallie Mae Ware, Rebecca Lee, Clifton Brown, Marion Spencer, Joseph Brown, Josiah Brown, Mary Alice Webster and Reginald Cooper of Trenton NJ. Ozell is loved by his grandchildren Monet, Ashley, Darius, Cionna, Chelsea, Myles, Brandon, Chaisce, Lemuel, Israel, Trinity, Brooklyn, Shaelyn, Ashley, Walter, Cleaster, Shameal and a host of relatives and friends.
