Monte D. Murray, Jr.

Monte' Dashawn Murray Jr. affectionately known as "MJ", was born into this life on Saturday June 13, 2020 at the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford DE. He departed this life and gained his eternal wings on Friday August 7, 2020 at the AI DuPont Children's Hospital in Wilmington DE.

"MJ" will Long be remembered by his beautiful, infectious smile that lit up the room. And by his piercing dove shaped eyes that seemed to mesmerize you. MJ has a peaceful spirit that created a calming and soothing effect on his family. He was their first-born son. He responded enthusiastically to his Mother playing Tasha Cobbs. He loved his daily showers with his Father. And his Father smothering him with kisses which also got a little irritating also. Which then made his Father Monte' Sr. Just kiss on him even more. He seemed inspired by his daily Father/Son talks even though he could not talk back yet; he responded with smiles and movements. He smiled through his Mother, Father, and sisters daily snap chat filter selfies; sometimes staring into the camera just trying to figure out why he had on gold chains and sunglasses that kept disappearing when he moved. He lives his FaceTime chats with uncle/ god Father David. His times spent with his aunt Mia loving on him. Resting in his GG's arms being smothered with kisses and future plans of giving him mashed potatoes and chicken. His Papi singing worship songs to him and him falling asleep smiling to it. And getting his little fingers caught in his Mother's hair as she carefully and lovingly breast fed him; and dreamed of his future as she gazed at him.

MJ also leaves behind to cherish his memory his 4 sisters Maliyah Jaylee Sky Murray (8yrs old), Lyric Chamille Murray (6yrs old), Bella Azzara Murray (4yrs old), and Kori Marie Banks (3 yrs old).

Also mourning his passing are his Grand Parents, Papi' and GG Jeffery and Angela Wyatt of Georgetown DE, Grand Father Phillip McCray of Frankford DE, Grandmother Georgianna Shockley of Salisbury, MD, Grandfather Hayward Murray of Dover, DE, and Great Grandmother Pastor Patricia Ann Powell of Bridgeville DE. He also leaves behind his godfather/uncle David Chandler of Selbyville, DE and a whole host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends of family.

Though he is not physically with us; he will always be in our heart and mind. We are comforted in the fact that though he is absent from the body; he is present with the Lord.
