Mildred E. Hill age 90 resided at Quaker Hill Place, 200 Washington Street Apartment #409 for 23 years. Mildred passed away peacfully on November 22, 2005 at the Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Boston, Mass on May 27, 1915. Mildred was the daughter of the late Clarissa and Walter Edwards and sister of the late Samuel and Montrose Edwards. Her family relocated to Philadelphia, PA. when she was 5 years of age. She later received her education and graduted from Girls High School. Mildred married the late Charles "Bus" Hill on December 25, 1938 at the age of 22. Shortly after her marriage she relocated from Philadelphia, PA to Wilmington, Delaware. Mildred began her career at the Wilmington Medical Center where she worked for 20 years. Her momory will always be cherished by 2 sisters-in-law, Vivan Hill and the late Beulah E. Hill-Woodruff; 2 brothers-in-law, the late Jospeh :Bootsie" Hill and the late Craford Woodruff, Sr; 1 nephew the late Kevin Woodruff, Sr.; nieces and nephews, Paulette Deadwyler (Rick), Patricia Priest, Terri, Karen (Kenneth), Crawford, Jr., Derwin and Steven Woodruff all of Wilmington, Delaware, Grace Marable (earl) of Philadelphia, PA along with many other family and friends. Mildred with her sassy personalit enjoyed her everyday life by singing, dancing and spending time with her family and friends.
