Michekyla Fairley

Michekyla J. Fairley, daughter of Shalitha Williams and Jeffrey Fairley was born on July 30, 2001 at 28 weeks. Although, Michekyla was born premature, she came into this world with a fighting spirit at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware. Michekyla departed this life on February 21, 2022.

Michekyla received her early education in Escambia County (FL) School District, from there she completed her education at Thomas McKean High School in Wilmington, DE. Michekyla was also a member of Ezion Fair Baptist Church, where she served as a junior usher, member of the youth choir and (DOZ) Daughters of Zion Praise Dance Team. She had a passion for working with children which led to her career path of working with them at the International Montessori School in Pike Creek, DE.

Michekyla loved spending time with her family, friends, especially her pop-pop Larry (Big Red) Spencer and her Nana Angela Drummond. She loved taking trips and eating good food. She also loved joking around with her siblings.

Michekyla was preceded in death by her father Jeffrey Fairley, grandmothers Irene Fairley-Young and Gene Spencer and great-grandfather Carl Williams.

Michekyla leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughter, My'lah Nicole Saphia Fairley- Rasion; mother, Shalitha Williams; brothers, Tahkei Williams, Jahkei Fairley, Joseph Fairley, Jeffrey Fairley, Diamere Fairley ( Aunyai Fairley), Hakeem Fairley, Jeffrey Fairley Jr., Micheal Miller, Jeffrey Miller and Kendrick Miller; sisters, Kalleyonna Thomas, Mohadae Fairley, Frances Fairley and Jamya Still; grandmother, Christine Williams; grandfather, Larry (Big Red) Spencer; favorite cousin, Kanayha (Nay-Nay) York; her best friend, La'Nayah Dickerson and as she always says her favorite Aunt Doris.
