Mercedes Elizabeth Freeman

Mercedes Elizabeth Freeman went home to be with the Lord on March 30, 2024. She was born to the late Mercedes Banks and Mills Brown on April 21, 1951. Raised in Wilmington, DE. Mercedes attended Wilmington Public school system. She worked at Chrysler and University of Delaware for many years.

She enjoyed listening to music and visiting with family. She enjoys playing cards. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Mercedes loved to eat Spares ribs, Reese cups and cake. Mercedes loved to have fun and had a great heart and would do anything she could for people.

Mercedes is preceded in death by her son David J. Bradley Jr.; her ex-husband David J. Bradley Sr; her brother Keith Morris Sr.; her sister Margret Thompson her sister Monquie Brown. She leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter Christine (Crystal) Bradley and one son Lamare (Mare) Bradley; 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; her brother Vern Morris, her cousin Robert Bias and a host of family and friends.

When you departed from this life the blow was so severe. That deep inside our aching hearts there falls an endless tear for you could not bid us goodbye before you went away and there was no ardent farewell that you or we could say. and though we may sound sad and blue only those who can see just what it means to lose your loved one without a fond farewell.
