Mother M. Johnetta Clay, age 81, was born August 17, 1927 to John M. and Mary Reba Wright. She passed on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Heartland Hospice House. She was the fifth of thirteen children. She received her education in the Wilmington Public Schools. Mother Clay was a member of Cathedral of Fresh Fire under Pastor Emma L. Creamer, where she served on the Mothers Board until her illness. Mother Clay leaves to cherish her memory, her children Kirk (Loreal), Thomas (Sharon), Aleta (Baba Milton) and Mary J. Clay. Thirteen grandchildren, Kirk Jr., Roger, Tahnia, Lashawn, TC, Timmy, Sharon, Ronald, Amber, Alexandria, Airelle, Simone, Danielle and four great grandchildren. Three sisters, Reba Lewis, Doris Southerland, Sylvia Walker and one brother Roland Wright. Five God children, Carolyn Martin-Pettaway, Lynn D. Johnson, Tina Brown, Chris and Cassie Moore. A dear friend Mother Ailene Franklin, three special people Carrie Weathers, Linda Thompson and Shirley Marshall.
