Mary Elizabeth Gordy

Mary Elizabeth Gordy went home to her Heavenly Father on December 5, 2009. Mary, the daughter of the late Ernest T. Turner and Elva Turner was born on May 10, 1925 in Wilmington, Delaware. She was educated in the Wilmington Public School system. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Bishop Lester L. Gordy, Sr. and from this union had five sons and two daughters. She was preceded in death by son, Randall Gordy, grandson, Francis Gordy, Jr. and sisters, Helen Pinkett and Julia Jackson. She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Ernest Turner (Patricia), Lester Gordy, Jr. (Renate), Donald Gordy (Phyllis), Francis Gordy, Sr. (Joanne), Lawrence Gordy (Marianne); daughters, Ella Gordy and Ramona Phillips; sisters, Marion Caulk and Martha Ross; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 2 aunts and a host of nieces and nephews.
