passed on April 25, 2015 at Christiana Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Councilman Wallace E. Brooks, Sr.; parents, Mary E. Smith-Lewis and Ruben Smith and step-father, Earl Simpers.
Mary was previously employed by Wilmington General Hospital and Franklin & Simon. She retired from Delaware Trust Bank. She was a former member of Shiloh Baptist Church for 40 years. Mary was a founding member of Shekinah Glory Fellowship Church.
She leaves to cherish her memories daughters, Sandra L. Whye (Eugene), Roxane Harris of Los Angeles, CA and Juanita McGhee (Pastor Ivan V. Sr.); sons, Elder Wallace E. Brooks, Jr. (Daisy) of Atlanta, GA and Victor J. Brooks; 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; a host of other family members and friends.
