Martina Elizabeth Bishop, the youngest of seven, was born in Bridgeville, Delaware on October 5, 1964 to the late Edward J. Bishop, Sr. and Mildred S. Drumgo. On March 2, 2023, Martina departed this life surrounded by her children and her grandchildren.
Martina received her early education from George Gray Elementary School and completed her education at Thomas McKean High School graduating in the Class of 1982. Martina was formerly employed with Delaware Charter, Commerce Bank and Christiana Care. Most recently she was employed by the University of Delaware and had been for the last five years.
Martina had a devoted love for God, her family and all of those she would come in contact with. She had many hobbies as she enjoyed cooking, dancing with her grandkids, watching her favorite football team (the Steelers), going to the Capital Jazz Festival and cruising, with her latest destination being Bermuda in August 2022. She also loved spending time and sharing laughs with her children and grandchildren.
Martina was preceded in death by her parents Edward J. Bishop, Sr. and Mildred S. Drumgo, maternal grandmother Louise C. Hudson and beloved nephew Tyrell A. Drumgo.
Martina is survived by her children De'Maya Bishop, Marcus Hardin and Devin Bishop, Sr. (Jessica); grandchildren Kamryn Bishop, Peyton Johnson and Devin "DJ" Bishop, Jr.; siblings Barbara Drumgo-Brown (Albert), Laura Holliday, Annette Drumgo, Edward Bishop, Deborah Smith and Cheryl Dorsey, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
