Marquon Deshawn Simmons

Marquon Deshawn Simmons was born June 3,1997 in Seaford Delaware, to Delema Dixon and Curtis Simmons. Marquon left his earthly vessel and went home with the Lord on November 9th, 2023, at Kent General BayHealth Medical Center in Dover, Delaware, surrounded by his loved ones.

Marquon, also known as Quon attended school in Felton Delaware where he graduated from Lake Forest High School in 2016.He also attended Delaware Technical Community College majoring in business management in 2016.He worked at Olive Garden Italian Restaurant as a server for 5+ years until his health no longer permitted him to do so. He also served at numerous restaurant establishments. In 2018 Marquon began investing into the Real Estate industry. Marquon passion and ambition for real estate allowed him to reconstruct and flip three mobile home properties for resale. He enjoyed shopping at Lowe’s looking for new ideas for investment properties, spending time with family and friends, cleaning and driving fast cars, cooking, and trying new recipes for his family and friends. Marquon loved and admired his parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also enjoyed joking, laughing, and spending quality time with his best friend Nicole “Kole” Scott. He loved his family and loved to have fun; He had an open-door policy where everyone was invited to Sunday dinner. His love language was food. He loved all types of foods; he was always eager to try new dishes and he loved eating blue crabs in the summer. He became a part of Open Arms Outreach International Ministries, Inc in Dover, Delaware at a very early age.

Marquon was preceded in death by his grandfather John Christopher and his grandmother Ethel M. Simmons. Marquon will be lovingly remembered by his mother Delema Dixon and father Curtis L. Simmons. Rowe; Grandparents: James and Terri White, Step Grandmother Camilla Christopher, Grandfather Willie Lee Simmons; Siblings: Tiara Dixon, Kierria Sampson, Kyla Dixon, Ja’onna Simmons, Curtis Rowe (Kara), Coshaun Simmons, Cahlil Simmons, Parris Dixon and Jordan Dixon; Aunts: Tarra Gourdine, Rakettia Tribbett(Edward),Shawntia McLeish, Yolanda Simmons, Sabrina Simmons, Kate Simmons, Monique Beasley; Uncles: Nyeusi Dixon, Antoine Christopher(Kieara),Willie Lee Beasley; Godmothers: Lakisha Fowler, Jolanda Darling; His best friend Nicole Scott, He also leaves behind his God children Jahlil Kellam and Camari Dixon as well as special extended nieces, nephews & host of friends. He also leaves to cherish his special extended family the Dixons, Christophers, Simmons, Rowe’s, and Darlings.
