Margaret Mccann

Maggie McCann was born on October 17,1958 in Wilmington, DE to Robert J. McCann Sr. & Margaret V. (McDougal) McCann. She passed on 8/31/2021 at home in Wilmington, DE.

Maggie spent her early employment tending to elderly shut-ins and housekeeping. Following that she was employed with the State of Delaware as a Custodian at Newark High School for several years. Most recently, before his passing, Maggie was a caregiver to her nephew Billy Verdieck.

Maggie's hobbies and interests included house plants and gardening. She loved spending quality time with friends and family. Maggie couldn't resist helping or housing every displaced person, animal or item that needed love and attention. She always had time to sit and listen or a hug for those who needed it.

Maggie was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Margaret McCann, her son Michael McCann, her brothers Robert & James McCann, and her nephew Billy Verdieck.
Maggie is survived by her daughters Tonya McCann, Brandy McCann, Ashley McCann & Pearesse Seeney; Her siblings John McCann, Annie Palese, Sarah Heller & Allen McCann; Grandchildren DeahzRenee McCann, Destiny McCann, Caleb McCann, Elysa Council, Michael Morton, Carlos McCann & Izaiah McCann; Great Grandchildren Ayla Blackson, Amaiya Blackson & Quadeer Pratt Jr., and a host of family and friends.
