Margaret C. West was born on October 4, 1908 to Millicent and Jefferson Coursey. She was the last of 14 children. Margaret attended the public school in Port Penn, DE. She later attended the old Delaware State Colllege, graduating in 1931. Margaret taught at different schools in the state and was going for advance studies during her summer vacations. Margaret loved to travel; was on her way to the Holy Land when the she was torpedo in Beruit. She and her sister went across the U.S.A. 3 (three) different times, Alaska and Pearl Harbor. Margaret was faithful member of Ezion-Mt. Carmel and held many different positions. She attended Ezion-Mt.Carmel until she moved out to The Methodist Country House. She enjoyed sewing-making a lot of her own clothing, puzzles and needle works. She leaves to mourn, 1 daughter Patricia Dorman-Turner; 2 granddaughters Carmencita Dorman and Rhonda Dorman-Collins; 2 daughters-in-law, Grace West and Claudette West; 2 sisters-in-law, Ruth West Palmer and Mildred G.
