Linda Louise Bey

May 2, 1948 — January 26, 2019

Linda Louise Taylor-Bey was born in Roanoke, Virginia on May 2, 1948. She was one of the twin daughters (Linda & Brenda) of Norman and Ella Mae Taylor. On Saturday, January 26th 2019, Almighty GOD, in his infinite wisdom, mercy and grace called Linda home. Linda moved to Delaware at age 3 and was educated in the Wilmington Public School System. She was a graduate of P.S. DuPont High School. In 1968, Linda gave birth to her 1st daughter Lisa Gail Taylor. At a young age, she became a member of Union Baptist Church under the late Pastor Otis A. Herring who later united Linda and Edward W. Bey Jr. in Holy matrimony on September 1st 1973. From that union a 2nd daughter, Russchelle Loray Bey was born in 1975. Linda was a home-maker for many years before she entered the work force. She was employed in Food Services at both A.I. Dupont Childrens Hospital and AstraZeneca. Although she was feisty at times, she had a heart of gold. She had an infectious personality with a beautiful smile. All that came to know her, truly came to love her. She loved to cook, nurture her plants, do jigsaw and crossword puzzles, listen to music - gospel and Motown hits and spending time with her family & friends. Linda was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She L-O-V-E-D her grands and she let the world know it! She constantly spoke of them all the time and was so proud to be NANA! She was preceded in death by her husband Edward W. Bey Jr, her parents Norman & Ella Mae Taylor and a sister, Muriel Taylor-Waddell(Willie) and Brother-in-law Olin White. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughters Lisa Taylor-Dunn and Russchelle Bey. Grandchildren - Sherrell Aleidra, Sherise Akia, Preston IV and Aldayshein Bey. Great-grands NyAire, Yasir and ZaNiya Dunn. Son-in-law Preston Dunn III, Brother Wayne Taylor and twin sister Brenda Taylor-White and a loving host of in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, Godchildren and friends.
