Lillie Jane Miller was born on May 31, 1941 to Mary McClamy and Anderson Hansley, in Rocky Point, NC.
Lillie entered into eternal rest on February 9, 2025 surrounded by family in Concord, NC. Lillie attended public schools in Pender County, NC. She was later adopted by Albert James Southerland and Maggie Southerland.
Lillie would later marry Edward Underwood Miller and move her family up north to Newark NJ. Lillie eventually moved and settled in Wilmington, DE. This is where she continued raising her family. She worked hard for Dupont for many years, and retired. She loved watching her soap operas such as The Young and The Restless and The Bold and The Beautiful. Lillie also loved watching her western shows and all the movies which included Steven Seagal. Lillie enjoyed working in her puzzle books and tending to her plants, whom she affectionately called “her babies”.
She was preceded in death by, her birth mother Mary McClamy, birth father Anderson Hansley; adopted mother Maggie Southerland, and adopted father Albert James Southerland; daughters: Corlis Southerland, Marion Southerland, and Daisy Miller; Sons: Edward Miller Jr, and Alonzo Miller, and eleven siblings.
Lillie leaves to cherish her memories, her sisters: Alice Malloy, Dorothy Johnson and MaryAnn Smith; her devoted Sister In Law, Helen Carlton, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
