Age 97, passed away on November 15, 2014. Lillian Mae passed away on November 15, 2014 at home after a long illness, lovingly surrounded by her family. She was born in Ridgely, Maryland on September 25, 1917 to the late Roland and Lula Mae Bell. She was known for her wit and charming personality; She loved to tease and joke with whomever was around. She was loved by all who knew her, including her medical staff. She will be dearly missed. Lillian dedicated her life to Jehovah God and symbolized her dedication in 1984 as an ordained minister. She participated in the worldwide bible preaching and teaching activity that is being accomplished in more than 235 lands. Lillian enjoyed reading her bible and sharing the good news of Jehovah's Kingdom through whom Christ Jesus will carry out God's promise at Rev. 21:4, which says, "He will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor out cry of pain be anymore." At the time of her death, Lillian was a member of the Red Lion Christian Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, husbands: Oscar Black and James W. Bratcher, 2 brothers: Arthur Bell and Charles Miller and 1 son Robert S. Black, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memories 2 daughters: Rose M. Black Wilkins(Matthew) and Betty A. Bratcher-Tiller(Elgin); 5 sons: David N. Black, John P. Bratcher(Bonnie), Donald G. Bratcher, Charles A. Bratcher and James Saunders; a devoted niece: Audrey Mason, 3 great nieces & 3 great nephews, 36 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren; a host of other family members and beloved friends. In lieu of flowers, Lillian requests that donations be made to The Red Lion Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2101 Red Lion Road, Bear, De. 19701.
