Leslie M. Spencer

Leslie Michelle Spencer was born September 11, 1956 in Wilmington, Delaware to Kenneth and Letitia Spencer. She was raised in Middletown, Delaware and also lived in Port Jefferson, NY as a child.

Leslie graduated from Middletown High School in 1974 and attended Howard University in Washington, D.C, where she graduated with in a degree in Liberal Arts in 1978. For the majority of her adult life Leslie lived in Claymont, Delaware and worked as an Insurance Claims Adjuster. Leslie was also a friendly and familiar face at Macy's in Concord Mall where she worked for many years, and she officially retired in December 2019.

Leslie loved life, friends and family and always had a smile on her face. She always maintained a positive attitude no matter what challenges she faced and enjoyed telling stories of her adventures during her high school and college years. Leslie loved listening to live music, especially old school and 70's music and she frequently attended shows and concerts in Wilmington and Philadelphia.

Leslie went to join her parents in paradise on June 19, 2020. She was proceeded in death by her brother, Kenneth Spencer, Jr. and leaves to cherish her memory three sisters: Sharon Spencer Johnson (Michael), of Atlanta, Georgia, Adrienne Spencer of Philadelphia, PA and Althea Spencer of Atlanta, Georgia, a devoted cousin Charles F. Johnson (Anne) of Los Angeles, CA, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, close first cousins and devoted long term friends.

Her beautiful carefree spirit will forever be remembered in the lives of those she knew.
