Khalil Nathaniel Ameer- Bey, son of Khalil Ameer-Bey and Natalie Dollard, was born on August 17, 1995 in Newark, Delaware. He departed this life on Wednesday July 29, 2020 at Christiana Hospital. He was proceeded in death by his maternal grandfather, Nathaniel "Blue" Bennett; paternal grandfather, Mustafa Ameer-Bey; two cousins, Raheem Ameer-Bey Jr and Markita Stevens.
Khalil was raised in Wilmington, Delaware and received his education in the Wilmington Public School System. Khalil recently graduated from Wilmington HOPE Commission where he mentored youth and adolescence. He was last employed at Masley Gloves in Wilm., DE. Khalil's hobbies were football, basketball, riding dirt bikes, playing video games and watching movies. Khalil, received his nick name (8-Ball) from a Coach on the Raiders football team, during his first year playing because of how good he played! He played for several other teams, but the Wilmington Soldiers, Glen Mills and Howard High School, were the highlights of football for him.
He enjoyed spending time with his son, Khasiem. Khalil loved laughing and joking with others. He was a loving big brother to his siblings and was always willing to lend a helping hand and he would give the shirt off his back. Khalil was also known for his infectious smile and his tight hugs. He was loved by so many far and wide.
He leaves to cherish his memories father, Khalil Ameer-Bey; mother, Natalie Dollard of Charlotte, North Carolina; one son, Khasiem Ameer-Bey (Shanaia Rivers-Walker) of Wilm., DE; three siblings, Khaliq, Kha' Naiyah, and Khayla Ameer-Bey of Charlotte, North Carolina and his "twin" Sharnargia Watson of Wilm., DE; grandmothers, Annie Dollard and Teresa Ameer-Bey of Wilm., , DE; great-grandmother, Letha Brown of Wilm., DE; grandfather, Earl Cannon (Rosa); best friends, Shakerrah Brown-Porter, cousin/brother, Stanley Dollard Jr.; uncle/brother, Shakair and StaQuan Jones of Charlotte, N.C., and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, friends and Ameer-Bey.
