Kevin Tyrese Griffin was born on September 25, 1954, in Wilmington, Delaware. He grew up in Riverside where he met some of his lifetime friends. He passed away on January 7, 2022, at Wilmington Hospital.
Kevin also known as "Uncle Buck", "Bob" and "Griff" received his early childhood education from Northeast School. He graduated from P. S. DuPont High School class of 1974. While a student in high school he also worked part-time at Gino's Fried Chicken. After graduating from high school, he worked at Hotel Dupont for many years. Once leaving Hotel DuPont he works at Fraims Boys and Girls Club until he became ill. He was well known in the neighborhood as the local handyman where he would cut grass, shovel snow, and perform light plumbing work for the elderly people in the community. It's fair to say he was a jack of many trades- he maintained multiple jobs at once. He was a firm believer in the concept of "to get what you want; you must work for it" and his favorite saying "it's nothing like having your own".
Although Kevin didn't belong to a church, he had a strong faith and trust in God. Later in life, he developed a strict daily routine that consisted of him reading the bible at the same time every day. He had many hobbies and interests, he loves to fish, go to Delaware park, and shopping with his niece.
Kevin was preceded in death by his mother Mary Hester Griffin (Johnson), brother-in-law George Pennington III and sister Jessica Fullman.
Kevin is survived by his sister Debra Griffin (Hess), niece Jamilla Pennington- Woods (Ryan) and great-niece Ryan Pennington- Woods, extended family The Fullman's, The Pennington's, The Dawson's and The Smith's. Previous Events
