Katie Ray Parham was born May 19, 1936, to the late Johnnie Parham, and Ada (Thorne) Chambliss in Greenville County, Virginia.
She was the proud mother of three children Patti Moore (Harrisburg, PA), Cheron Moore (Hollywood, CA), Donna Marie Moore (Jarratt, VA), four grandchildren, five great grand children, and a host of nieces and nephews. A special grand daughter, Chimere Ross, who was her caretaker for many years, and a great grandson, Jayden Edwards, whom she loved dearly.

Thursday, October 17, 2024 Katie Ray was visited by god's angel for her resting place at Coral Springs Health Care Center in Wilmington, DE.
Katie was employed at St. Francis Hospital as an OR-Tech for 40 years. She was a member of Ocean Ave Baptist Church, where she served as an active usher for 30 years. Katie was a member of the Elks, and United Masonic and Eastern Stars Worthy Matron Martha #5, Jersey City, NJ. She received her high school education from Edward W. Wyatt High School in Emporia, VA.
