Born in Philadelphia, PA on May 2, 2012 to Cheri Michelle Wiley and Albert Carey Smalls. He was called home on Friday August 2, 2013. Kareem "affectionately called Reem" spent much of his life at St. Christophers Hospital after his birth. After leaving St. Christophers Hospital, he was transferred to Ken-Crest to be transitioned home. Following a short stay, he was transferred to A.I. Dupont Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware where he continued to fight to "stay with his mommy." In his short life, Kareem touched many hearts with his will and determination to live and grow. Preceding him in death, his Uncle David Howard Ryder and his Aunt Deborah Ann Norris. Kareem leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Cheri Michelle Wiley, his father Albert Carey Smalls, 3 brothers Antonio, Darien and Dominick; 1 sister Shania; Grandmother Ethel Eggleston, Grandfather J.D. Eggleston; 1 Aunt LaShawn Mitchell; 2 Uncles Stephen Ryder and Dana Ryder (Noukone); 1 niece Eveanna; Godmothers Alyssa Paul and Cheryl Scott; Godfather Wayne; His spiritual Grandparents Errol Wiley and Pastor Maxine Wiley and a host of cousins.
