Judy P. Russ was born on July 15th, 1948 in Bladenboro, North Carolina, to Elizabeth Russ and Raymond A. Russ. Judy was called home to the lord on Saturday, April 1st, 2023.
Judy received her high school diploma from Henry C. Conrad High School. Throughout the years, she had numerous jobs. Her most recent job before retirement was at Toys R Us. Judy was employed at Toys R Us for 5 years. Judy’s most memorable job of all time was getting to babysit her grandchildren in their earlier years.
Judy loved reading her bible, putting puzzles together, and watching her favorite tv shows and movies. She was a huge Philadelphia Phillies fan. Whenever the Phillies were playing you could catch her watching the game and keeping track of each play with paper and pen in hand. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her children: Jason Riley (Tina), and Jody Osteen (Tim); grandchildren, Madison Walters, Riley Walters, Gabrielle Walters, Brayden Riley, Cadee Riley; siblings, Peggy Vance (Lucky), Ray Russ (Bonnie), Betty Griest, Steve Russ, Donald Russ, Dale Finerty (Bill), Barbara Rossi (Frank); and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Elizabeth Russ; sister-in-law, Debbie Russ, brother-in-law, Ken Griest, and niece, Audrey Rossi.
At Judy’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. We invite you to please privately celebrate her memory in your own ways. We know that she will be with us all in spirit.
