John was born on 09/11/1951 in Wilmington, DE but raised in Odessa, DE by his loving parents John and Bertha Watson. He passed away peacefully at his home in Elsmere.
John Boy as his family and friends called him received his early childhood education from Louis L. Redding. He graduated from Job Corps of Delaware. After receiving his diploma, he worked for Waste Management and had other sources of employment before retiring due to an on-the-job injury.
John Boy was a faithful believer in God and attended different churches to receive his spiritual words of encouragement. He loved fishing, playing card and could rap the lyrics to an old school jam as if he wrote the song himself.
John was preceded in death by his Wife-Anita “Birdie” Alexander-Watson; Parents-John and Bertha Watson; Brother-William Bush and Sister-Ophelia Dennis.
John is survived by his Daughter-Marlo Brook; Son-Jeremiah Pauls/Desiree; 3 bonus children; Sisters-Claudette Ringgold/Alan, Dora Watson, Alice Marsh/Anthony; Brothers- Douglas Bush, Walter Watson/Barbara, Tyson Watson/Phoebe; Grandchildren-Jalen Pauls, Jemerria Roane, Adrianna Demby, Neoki Brooks, Jasmine Bell and Aaron Bell; 1 great-granddaughter and 4 great-grandsons and a host of relatives and friends.
