John Craig Williams

JOHN CRAIG WILLIAMS, affectionately known as Craig, was born on February 9, 1968 in Wilmington, Delaware to Bertha Williams and the late John H. Williams. Craig was a 1986 graduate of Middletown High School, where he was a part of the marching band, traveling to different schools showing his mastering of the saxophone.

Craig served in the Armed Forces from 1986 to 1988. Following his Army release, he also served with the National Guard.

Craig was employed by UPS, Amazon and various other jobs until his health started to fail.

As a young boy, Craig attended the Middletown Baptist Church in Armstrong, Delaware. Craig was a faithful son to his parents, always there and available to help in any way they needed. After the loss of his father, you could find Craig with his mother Bertha, making sure she had transportation wherever she needed to go and having dinner with her 3 to 4 times a week.

The light of Craig's world were his children, Justin, Dakota, Cassandra, James and Reese, and his five grandchildren. He loved his children with all his heart and did whatever he could for them and they in turn were there for him. Cassandra and James became his caretakers when his health failed.

Craig was preceded in death by his father John H. Williams and will be deeply missed by his mother Bertha Williams, children Justin, Dakota, Cassandra, James and Reese; grandchildren Samson, Dixiana, Jocelyn, Dominic and John; one sister, Yolanda and one nephew Dominique; aunts, Viola Brown, Susie Baylor, Ruth Tatum, Sylvia Bordley, uncles Frank Lloyd and Frank Tatum and lifelong friends, Angel Alverez, Phyllis Birch and Scott Clinger and neighbor Ed Herron, Sr., and a host of cousins, family and friends.
