Joann Wilson George

February 16, 1960 — April 6, 2022

The seventh of a baker's dozen Joann Wilson George made her early arrival on February 16th
1960, in Wilmington, Delaware to William Alexander Wilson and Ruth Loretta Wilson. Joann
went to her heavenly home on April 6th, 2022, at Coral Springs Rehab &Health Center in
Wilmington, Delaware.

Joann or Joanney as her siblings liked to call her received her early childhood education at
Northeast which is now known as Eastside Charter School and Burnett Middle School (The POS
camp as she referred to it). She graduated from P.S Dupont Highschool. After school, she worked
for many years in childcare at such places as Kingswood Community Center and Wilmington
Headstart.

Joann was a faithful member of the Northeast Church of Christ. She enjoyed many hobbies and
the interest which included: dancing, singing, reading her bible, playing solitaire, and spending time
with her children and grandson.

Joann was preceded in death by her mother Ruth Loretta Wilson and father William Alexander
Wilson Sr., siblings; Doris Harris, Willam Wilson Jr., Steve Wilson, Lawrence
Harris and Melita Wilson-Anderson.

Living to cherish her memory Joann is survived by her daughter Terri George, son James George
and grandson Dominic George. Her 5 loving sisters Patricia Broy, Wanda Kellum (Melvin
Kellum), April Wilson, June Wilson, Corlis Wilson, and Melvina Smith-Wilson (Peter Smith).
And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends as well as spouse Albert George. Previous Events
